superchip,Edge?

I need help finding what electronic chip or tuner would be right for me!

I have a 2007 2500 5.9 4speed trans,4x4.

My payload is always around #1900LB

I need more power and maybe some shifting help.

My truck shifts like crap at this point and has little power.

On my old truck I had the edge EZ and liked it.

I an thinking about the superchips but will the flash tuner void my warranty?

if warranty is a concern.... don't do a thing. The dealer will typically find anyway they can to not honor it with performance mods installed.

I can't say for sure that Superchips work on 07 ...yet. If that's what you want, I'd check with them first. You might want to look into this programmer....

Smarty Power

It's a very powerful programmer with way more tuning options than I believe any other programmer you can buy.

I’m just a bit surprised to hear that your new CTD has a problem hauling 1900 Lbs. What do you want it to do accelerate as fast loaded as it does empty? Anyway if you add any programmer to tuner box to your truck then you will most likely kiss your warranty good buy. Do you still get poor shifting when you use the OD lock out or tow haul mode? Its possible the trans needs to be looked at for a problem with the trans module or even a problem with a lose connection or the PCM.

THE 'SMARTY' Is the ONLY programmer that DOES NOT leave any trace when removed... that is what I will be putting in my '05'

CHECK IT OUT ON THE 'SHOP DTR' PAGE

I have read on other boards and I think this one also that Smarty also leaves a mark. it is my understanding that it causes an error code that can only be traced back to smarty. Is this true?

My buddy works at my dodge delaer and yes the smarty leaves a mark!

The only addons that do not leave a mark are no programers like edge and quad.

P.S. the smarty does not leave a code! But will leave the last date and time the ecm was worked on or put back to stock.

Actually, the Smarty does leave a code. The Smarty can erase that code though.

What's claimed by the makers of Smarty is true. I purposely drove to the dealer on #5 SW, I stopped outside the dealership and returned the truck to stock. While it was in service, I asked the tech to check for any codes and if he can tell me if the ECM is telling him anything.

The answer was no, there was nothing to be seen. Now, if you were in a big dispute with DC over something that caused a catastrophic failure, you can bet they'll find something.

I don't think the Smarty will cause a problem like that so, unless that's the case.... in my experience you're complete safe going to the dealer after returning to stock.
