EGT sensor?

My brother is getting a new truck(06 Cummins of course!). He gave me his edge ez. He was running it with his 03 SO on the second level. I plan to run it on the first level(about 40 HP gain it says). How important is it for me to have an egt sensor with the box on the lowest setting?

Are the "so" and "ho" boxes compatible? I had a few tow ins with Edge equipped trucks back in those days.

Yes, they are.

If you're running empty and on Level 1 then you shouldn't have to worry too much about EGT's with the EZ.

What about when I tow my 5'th wheel? It's about 8000 lbs. loaded.
