i broke the plastic rod that runs the recline part of my seat. for the life of me i cant understand why this is a plastic part anyway. the handle that unscrews from the stem is fine but the stem broke off in the seat frame. has anyone else had this problem? and where can i get a replacement part or upgraded part? i tried looking at mopar parts but theres no description of the parts that they have to be sure its the right one? any help at all would be greatly appreciated

 

well get this!!! you cant just order the plastic part, you have to order the entire seat recline assembly....... and they want 300 bucks for the thing. heck with that so i went to the shop and a little grinding and welding and a little painting and, PRESTO!!! i have a steel lever and handle..... and i promise it wont break ever again

 

The piece is available, you just have to know how to find it. Not the parts guys fault, but rather the crap program Chrysler provides them with.

 

well if any of you want an upgrade from plastic i can show pictures of mine it was really simple and i know it will never fail me again... and it looks good

 

how about a fix for the bars that pop out of both sides on the driver seat and kill your kidneys? or the recliner deal stripps out so when your driving down the road the seat falls back and about makes you wreck? i think the seats in both my 05&06 ram are junk. padding is falling out & dry rotting or turning to dust..im not a big fat guy so dont go there.lol. poor seats
