They are just being picky and get a kick out of it I think.

No they don't, been there done that. Next time you are standind outside you truck with it running, put your ear on the fender or hood. Put your finger in your other ear, while your wife speaks to you. That is what it sounds like to them. Like I said been there, done that, a while ago.

Not to mention I have one of the "real" Diesels that actually make noise, so I'd have to shut down.

Same here, but lovin' it and drowning out anyone who complains .

They put them waaaayyyy to close to the ground.

ATM's, I have to get out, so I might as well just walk up to it.

Drive thru's need to hire people with longer arms to take my money and hand me my food.

Me too, unfortunately I managed a Taco Bell for a little while. and the dumba$$ that designed the drive through mush have thought it would be funny to put the speaker in front of the building(25 feet from a 5 lane highway and 3 stop lights) But yeah, it was only the REALLY loud ones, we'd ask them to pull around to the window to order. I can't see that being a problem for the 3rd gen.

This definitely happens to me. I also could not make it through my local burger king without rubbing tires on my long bed quad cab.

I miss the my 22 footer...
