Dome Lights

OK here is my scenario. If I open my drivers door and then shut it my dome lights will come on and stay on for a short time. However, if I immediatly open my rear drivers side door the lights will shut off. Also, if I open my rear drivers side door the dome lights will not come on but if I open my passenger side rear door they will. Does anyone know where the switch is located on these doors? Has any one else notciced this?

I read a post a few weeks ago about someone having similar issues. There's a set if wires giubg in the rear drivers sour I believe and one if his wires was crimped Inside the wire protector. I don't recall the name of that post, but it was fairly recent. He had a good write up about fixing it too.

Hah, I thought I was going crazy. My '06 does the exact same thing. I get out my truck, dome lights are on. Close the driver door, and open the rear drivers door and the dome light turns off 3 seconds later.

Check the conection at the light. Mine were loose. Tightened conectors and problems went away.

Just a FWIW..

The 06 models have dome light issues that can be corrected by disconnecting the batteries for about an hour... there is a re-flash that will correct the issue as well..
