Differences in SRW and DRW
Differences in SRW and DRW
Sorry if this is in a post somewhere, I did do several searches and did not see an answer. What are the differences in the 3500 SRW and SRW? I think I saw somewhere that it was only the springs used.

It depends... for '03 & '04 if you have the 6-speed/HO version then the 2500 and SRW 3500 are exactly the same with the exception of the running lights and a set of rear overload springs. Otherwise frame, brakes, axles, tires, etc. are identical. Normal logic would dictate that the exact same parts = exact same load capacity but apparently DC doesn't use normal logic as the SRW 3500 magically has a 900 lb. greater GVWR. That must really be some set of overload springs...
There is a difference for the SO and auto trans versions of the 2500 in that it has the 10.5" rear end instead of the 11.5" found on the HO 2500/3500 SRW.

Ooops, sorry, re-read your post and now I'm not sure if you are asking about the difference between the 2500 and SRW 3500 or the 3500 SRW/DRW. I answered the former above and as to the latter... the 3500 DRW has slightly larger rear brake calipers than the 3500 SRW, otherwise it is the same (except for the additional load capacity from the two additional tires, of course).
