I had the same problem as Price Dog. The only truck on the lot I wanted didn't have a tow package installed. I told them I wouldn't buy the truck without the the package. I assumed that they would put on the factory hitch. I wound up with a Class 4 Curt hitch with ball and stinger and the seven pin connector installed. Later when I crawled around under the truck I noticed wires were not tucked back into the looms and when I checked under the hood the fuse box was left wide open. I'll make good use of the advice in this thread and do my best to check everything out. Thanks for the help.

I definately made them wire with factory connectors for lights (7 pin round I guess) . . . looks just like factory. I just don't think they wired for the trailer brake, though I will have to check. If it wire come through where the hood release is, where to they run it to in the cab?

Directly to your brake controller which is plugged into the brake controller connector underneath the dash by the e-brake. If not then they just coiled it up and zip tied it. It should be a blue wire.

Does the tow package include the e-brake controller? I know my truck doesn't have an e-brake unless it's hidden somewhere.

No, unless you paid separately for a brake controller. Neither the dealer kit or the factory towing package include a brake controller.

By e-brake I meant emergency brake and not brake controller. Sorry for the confusion.
