Driving home today from Home Depot with a load of 5 bags of compost and 1 bag of potting soil, total 220 pounds.
Listening to the radio, thinking about winning the powerball, next thing ya know, Barney is up front with his laser.
Got me for 81 in a 65, I thought I was just cruising along with the rice rockets. First time in about 25 years. He did write it up for 70 though, I don't blame him a bit, he's doing his job like I do mine.
Can't decide if I want to pay the $140 fine and be done with it or save $5 and go to traffic school. For $5 I'll spend the day doing what I want to do. I would hope the insurance company wouldn't stick it to me for one 5 over ticket in 25 years????

more than likely,if you dont have to turn in a claim,or swap vehicles anytime soon,,theyll never catch it,,,,,,,i got away with some serious tickets for 4 years before they caught mine,,only because i had to get the old lady a new car finally and they ran it then,,,,,,,,,,bama
Heres a good one I was told to keep insurance from knowing about a ticket. Was told its only turned in when the ticket is finalized on the computer system. Was told PAY the fine but over pay it a few bucks. If the fine is $140 pay it by check and send $144.00.When the other $4.00 is sent back to by check you DON"T cash the check. Its never finished on the computer system and stays in limbo computer wise.Don't know if its true or B.S. as its been 20 plus years since I've had a ticket.Someone e/mailed that info to me etc.claimed this came from a big insurance outfit.
"Hounddog", Ive heard the same thing hear in N.Y. about overpaying a ticket, and not cashing the check they send back, I dont know if it works, havn't gotten a speeding ticket.......Yet,
(in case your wondering, thats me knocking on wood!!) Although, on S.I. they have their radar's set at 68 mph for 50 mph highways, but they'll make a u-turn over a double yellow, chase you down, and stop and congest traffic for half mile, to give you a ticket for a 4in by 6in air freshener thats hangin from your mirror!!! AHHHHH the Joys of N.Y.

Check and se if the traffic school gets the ticket removed fromyour record. Here in Nashville, after you complete the school, the ticket is gone. I personally would not have written you one, unless you were in a Ford or Chevy.
That's one good thing in Texas. You can plead "Defferred Adjudication", pay the fine and if your a good boy for a year, it does not get posted. Or, take a driving course, pay the fine.
DEFERRED ADJUDICATION (PROBATION)
You may request Deferred Adjudication fifteen calendar days from the date your citation was issued but not within the first 5 calendar days after issue date. Your application will be forwarded to the Judge to determine eligibility for the program. You may pay the Administrative Fee at the time of request. (The Administrative Fee is typically equal to the amount of the fine for the violation for which you have been charged.)
You are not eligible for Deferred Adjudication if any of the following apply:
You have been approved for Deferred Adjudication within the past 12 months;
You were speeding 31 mph or more over the speed limit.
You were speeding 16 mph or more over the speed limit in a school zone.
You received a ticket for not having current liability insurance and you were involved in an accident.
You received a ticket for not having current vehicle liability insurance and you do not provide a copy of current vehicle liability insurance.
Don't ask me how I know....

I've been hearing a lot of commercials on the radio lately about taking the course on the internet or getting a video sent to your house. Something to think about if you don't want to sit in class all day.
