i'm new at the bombing game.did anyone ever blow up a cummings ?like senting parts out the side.

 

I have heard of turbos, head gaskets, intercoolers, intercooler boots and transmissions blowing up, off and apart but never the block.

 

It's CUMMINS,

 

I spun a rod bearing. I havent heard of anyone... say, throwing a rod through the block. These CUMMINS blocks are so high in nickle content and the rods are so stout that it makes it real difficult to to any detrimental damage from "flying parts" however you can talk to some P-stroke guys who have sent a rod through the block. When I spun my rod bearing there was basically NO bearing left but the rod held on , VERY impressive.

Never had a cumminGs in any truck.

I have had a Cummins though and had a head gasket fail with 54 psi of boost.
