I think he was making a joke...

don't mess up your truck trying to do what your saying... You will have issues with the geometry of the suspension because your leaf spring mounts will not be in proper alignement making the rear suspension do some crazy stuff... If your that bent on a long bed then swap someone for one... But I bet you could get away with (the look of) another foot of bed length if you do it right.. Drop your tail gate and look at the side of your truck and try to envision it with no fenders, because a short bed with the tail gate down is basically a LWB length...

Well if i were to try and stretch it i would have a professional do it and have it all aligned properly, i would try and rig something up myself.

i can do the liftkits and all that but i'm not trying to mess with the frame and welding stuff together.

as far as swapping for a longbed, i don't think anyone in todays era is trying to have that big of a truck. everyone is trying to save money on fuel, altho i get about 400 miles a tank, only on the highway.

The pics don't show up for me. Am I the only one? I right click and select "Show Pictures" but still nothing. Darn it!

not after i put rockwells on it and 53" michis...the tires are 350lbs a piece and the axles will be about 800-1000 a piece...thats about 3000 lbs of unsprung weight...plus a steel flatbed and its not gonna get lifted any higher except for what the bigger tires lift it. its on 46" tires right now.

plus i'm not gonna chase the actual storm...i'm gonna chase the damage it leaves behind...so there might be high waters and debris.
