I had a water pump go out a couple of months after my 7 year warranty expired but with a lot less than the 70K miles (around 60K as I recall). So, I contacted Chrysler through their website (sorry, don't recall the exact URL). I'm sure you can find it. I had to follow up one more time but was finally assigned a case manager and they ended up reimbursing me for the amount I paid my dealer to replace the pump (less the $100 deductible I would have had to pay under the warranty).
The reason I like using the website is that you can carefully craft your message stating your case as opposed to trusting yourself to effectively communicate verbally and trusting the person on the other end of the line to completely understand your position.
I will add that I was in their database as having purchased several Chrysler products over the years - which they told me influenced their decision to take care of me.

i placed a call..got a really nice case manager...and now i need to go back to the dealer and have him take pics and fill out some paper work and submit it to chrysler.....the case manager basically said he would be surprised that it would not be covered since it has low miles and is only doing it on one wheel well...most likely will have a small deductable is all.....but...it still make take a couple weeks till i know for sure.

That is why I rust checked mine. Gooey oily stuff is still coming out the seams. All good though - it is driving the moisture out. These Chryslers are POS body wise but we buy them because of the drivetrain right! Goit to do everything you can to preserve them. Rust Check people actually do an annual "top up" for $60 in canada. One fellow who went to the installing shop has had a new truck running in winter conditions that he got rust proofed 15 years ago. Still looks good, no rust -I saw it.
