CB Mount
here you go!
Hey megaboom
Here is my 2 meter Ham radio install: I removed the rubber insert in the
console & traced an outline of the opening & transfered it to a 1/4 " piece of wood. it needs two 2" long dowel legs to support the front of the wood
while the rear is supported by the console separator. Then simply adjust your mobile mount (usually supplied with the radio) & run your power
leads (fused, please!) & antenna. Good Luck!

I did a temporary mount in my 2006 Mega Cab 3500 SLT. Sorry I do not have picts since I am at work right now. I have a small Cobra CB that I attached the CB mount bracket to a round metal bar under the drivers side seat right in the front with a few zip ties. I positioned the zip ties so it would not slide left or right. The CB angles down and I ran the antenna wire under the rear set floor mats and then behind the seat, out the rear slider. The CB mic I just place slightly in-between the drivers seat and the center seat. For the power, I connected the power wires to a cigarette lighter power plug and ran the wires under the seats and center counsel. No holes from drilling, no holes in rubber plug going to the engine for the fuses and I can remove it any time I want. Taking the 5er to Pismo Beach this weekend, but will add picts later if you would like to see what it looks like.
