I have the same problem!! A/C smells lousy. I wonder if febreeze would work. It kills bacteria? Where do you spray it? Where is the intake? Is it up near the wipers?

Thanks, Do you just spray into the a/c vents or does it have to go into the intake?

I spray it through the intake in the cowling. Turn the blower on high, a good dose of spray into the intake, then turn the blower off and let it sit for awhile.
