vent odor

vent odor

I have a problem with my fresh air vents,when my truck is warmed up and I stop at a light i get a diesel odor through my vent system.The dealership says the company is working on a solution for this problem I just wondered if anyone else is has the same problem ?

yes i have the same problem and also a moldy odor in with the fan on.
for the price you pay for these it should be alot better than it is
my 2 cents

I had the same problem. I set mine on the recirculate setting and no longer have that problem. As for the mouldy odor use some of those smelly clip things, that clip onto you vents that you get at any auto store. That eliminated the smell for me.

Normal. You'll find that that oil smell is normal until the oil ages a bit; then the smell will go away. I noticed that too; thought I had a major oil leak somewhere. You'll find out in a bit that it comes and goes with new oil, and some oil(s) stink more than others.

Thanks for the information and I do notice it is stronger right after an oil change, this is the only thing that I don't like about my truck .I intend to keep pushing the dealership and chrysler about this problem and if I get any results I will be sure and post it.
