Bulb replacement on climate control ***** 2006

I have a 2006 quad cab ram, the ***** that light up behind the fan, ac, and heat control are burned out. How do you get into the back of the bezel to replace the bulbs. Looks like you might have to pull the *****, but before I do that, I would like to know if anyone has done this and how hard of a job it is. Thanks in advance. Ray

you just pull the dash out as if you are pulling out the stereo. There are 3 little bulbs in there and they unscrew. BUT according to two dodge dealers I've talked to and multiple parts stores, the bulbs are not a serviceable item and no one could find them for me. They said you need to buy a whole new climate control piece for about $100. kind of ridiculous but it seems to be the only option

I know mine is an 05, but my dealer says the computer showed one bulb for the climate control piece. $2.20 for one bulb, i'm also going to be replacing the instrument panel bulbs this weekend. I'll try to take pics and post them up..

You can order led bulbs from the internet that will replace the standard bulbs in the panel. When you pull the surround for the radio, the heater control comes with, then there are 3 bulbs that are just 1/4 turn, Make sure to get white led, the other colors don't work as well. GO to superbrightled.com and look there, I believe that they are NEO5x-w but not sure, you can check the deminsions when you pull out the old ones.

Does anyone have any pictures or instructions on how to remove the contol unit? The pictures I have seen are after they are out not a break down of how to remove. I don't want to ruin anything in the process. I haven't found any screws to remove or any hidden tabs to push. Thanks.

Hey bro! at your age you shouldn't be driving at night anyway. Stay at home and leave the night driving to us "younger guys"

Hey little bro you are probably right but these younger guys on here sure know more than I do about these new fangle dangle trucks. I'm use to unscrewing a screw and getting to the porblem now half the problem is how to get to the problem. As far as night driving is concerned I just like to sit in the rig at night in the shop and pretend that I am driving at night helps to see the heater controls you know how my blood doesn't circulate as well as it use too.
