Ok I have a question does anyone know were to buy just the protective cap that goes on the end of the cord for the block heater. The dodge dealers I have talked to said I have to buy a new cord just to get the stupid cap.

 

Give an electrical supply store a look. They probably sell end caps for outdoor extention cords. Or even go to a junkyard. Do not buy another one from a dealer!

I would like to know also. I ripped mine off by mistake and now am paying the price as I have NOT found any at Home Depot, local Electrical store, no place. Just Dealer for a complete cord and they need to even order it for me. So still looking and if I ever find one, I will let people know.

 

In place of the cap, I just got a plain electrical socket from Home Depot, or from a junk extension cord. I think the prongs on the block heater plug stay cleaner and shinier this way - the cap from the factory actually fills up with water & ice ifit turns the wrong way, and the socket stays on better when not being used.

 

I will let you know I am going to go to an electrical store this week to get some supplies for around the house so I will ask and see If I can order at a reasonable price I will buy a few extra and sell them to you guys at what I pay plus shipping.
