blend door or what?????????
blend door or what?????????
long story short when i had my a/c on the drivers side was as cold as could be but the passenger side was only a few degrees colder than the outside air. so i took the dash and the box that houses all of the doors and actuators took it apart and all the the doors are securely attached to thier axles and all plastic stops are in place as they should be. so what the heck could it be????? could the actuator be going out? btw its a 2006 2500 laramie with the dual climate control.

Yep, you were low on 134. Before you go through the trouble of re-installing everything, go to www.heatertreater.net and get you some metal doors.......TRUST US, YOU ONLY WANT TO DO THIS ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
how would it being low on freon mean the passenger side would be outside air temp while the driver side was like ice? there was no way it could have been the freon because just recently i replaced the compressor and it had a vacuum pulled on it and exactly 1lb 14oz of freon put in the system after that same story drivers side blew cold as ice while the passenger side was just as hot if not hotter than the outside air
actually i just had sort of a revelation and it was in fact not low on freon but i think my orface tube might have been partially clogged causing the core to cool and act as if it was low on freon. ohh well im going to make good use of the situation and replace all of the doors with heatertreater and the actuator on the passenger side control, and the evaporator with temp sensor as a precaution so i do not have to tear the dash apart again. thank yall for yalls help its greatly apreciated

If you did nothing else while the dash was apart, the replacement doors would have been worth a million bucks alone. Glad you decided to go with them....you will not be disappointed. You should have a properly functioning a/c when you're done. I did the replacement doors, compressor, cold line, and dryer.....with the ball valve to shut off the flow of hot water to the core, and my a/c, depending on outside temp, will blow anywhere from 34-40 out the vents. On certain mornings going to work I can actually breathe smoke if I put my face in front of the vents
