You can still use Carli's leaf springs and not raise the rear. Just remove all the little factory spacers when you install.

Can you help me out a bit with a more detailed explination or photos?

Anyone know if I can get the same front spring rates as the Cali ones in the kit, but shorter, thus not raising the front either? Not sure what lbs rate they are, but think they are softer.

When you get a chance, take a look under your truck where the leafsprings sit on the axle. On the bottom of the spring pack will be 2 (or more, I can't remember anymore) spacers that look like cut down leafs. You can take those out when assembling the pack. Should lower the rear close to 1".

Great, and certainly makes sense... I will look when I get near the truck, drove the other car today.

How will this modification affect the warranty? Payload? Towing?

This is a little set up that is worth pondering. Take the overload leaf out and replace it with a block of the same height. Then use bags and better shocks.

Anyone know how this would work?

Shouldn't affect anything, especially since it's only 1". It's just a way to space the axle further away from the body/frame.

Here are a couple pics I found showing what I'm talking about. I have 4 of those spacers on each side. That's because the shop that installed my Carli pack didn't read the directions and screwed up. There are only 2 in there now, the thinnest two. You can take them all out. If you run into issues with the u-bolts being too long you can move the spacers to the top of the pack if you want. I would get a shorter u-bolts, but moving them to the top works fine.

Pauly, thanks for the pics! Really helpful.

I talked with Mike at Cali... Nice guy too. For the "Starter System," this involves the "Add A Pack" rear leaf springs which when installed you are supposed to remove all factory spacers. Nonetheless, it raises the truck about 1" in the rear. There really isn't a way to do it without raising.
