Bilstein 5100 and front bump stop
Bilstein 5100 and front bump stop
I'm getting ready to replace the shocks, and I'd long-ago decided 5100s were the way to go when it finally happened. Problem I have now is that almost every place that sells 'em says I may have to modify the front bump stop because the 5100s are slightly longer than stock.
Anybody running 5100s up front on a stock suspension without problem? My wife would seriously frown on a $320 mistake...

I got the 5100's (silver ones right?) for my 07, stock height, just in case I planned on putting a leveling kit on it and they installed easily, no bump stop mods and work fine.
FWIW, in case anyone cares, my buddy has 2" leveling spacers on his 03 with factory shocks and they work ok. I thought they would be a bit too short, but he wheels the truck pretty hard sometimes and the shocks have not gotten over extended.
