Best dually towing tires...
Guys I'm wondering what your thoughts are on tires. I have a 2007 6.7L dually and the stock tires that came with it suck. I have 25k miles on it, and it already needs new tires. That is the shortest lifespan I've seen and I've always taken care of them properly.
I need a good towing tire for my dually as I pull some pretty heavy trailers. Come on experts, please let me know your opinions. Thanks in advance.

I too tow heavy and have gone through tires in what I would call premature wear. The roads eat them, scrub them off fast. I went to 19.5's, def worth the investment in the overall. It was a checkbook biter but once done will no longer be buying tires that in the overall cost more per mile than they are worth.

Jack, mine came with General Ameritrac's, they sucked. I tried a set of Coopers, they did a little better but that's it. I'll be ready for another set this summer and will be looking at Bridgestones. If you haven't done it yet get a set of Centramatics, well worth the investment and there was a set or two in the classifieds.

I also vote for the 19.5". I need a new set of 19.5" now, where have you all found to be the best price for them? Just finding them is not real easy. I will probably need a second mortgage to replace the 6 19.5" on truck and 4 17.5" on camper, had one blow last week coming home from Darlington,.

I to have had good luck with the Firestone Transforce HT. This is my fourth set and no probs yet. Also they are easy on the check book and with regular rotations I get @60-65k out of a set of six.

Another vote for the Firestone Transforce HT. Very happy with mine.

If you are feeling spendy the Bridgestone Duravis will last a little longer & if your have really deep pockets the Toyo Open Country HT with Tuff Duty is also an excellent choice.
