I bought my 2004 on November 7, 2003 and still have the original batteries. No problems yet.

Same here I still have the original batteries on my 03. Mechanic buddy of mine told me not to long ago I should think about replacing them since their almost five years old. My truck was built in Nov 02.

My old Ford gasser had original battery for 9 years and about 175000 miles. It was fine but the terminals were badly corroded when I went to do an oil change once and I decided to take them off and clean them. Bad move. terminal broke out of battery casing. Nothing like a late Sunday evening trip borrowing someone's vehicle to the auto parts store before they closed to get a battery and come home to install it in the dark so I could get to work the next day

I replace a battery once a year or so, on average. The rough roads up hear pound the snot out of them.
