Ball joints: Dynatrac or Carli?

Just found out that I need ball joints on my 2005 and do not want to do the job again soon so I am willing to spend the coin for good stuff the first time. What is the consensus on the high-end ball joints? Is Carli better than Dynatrac, or the other way around? Or are they pretty much the same?

Any help is appreciated.

Well, I am going Dynatrac as we are a dealer now. If anyone needs Dynatrac ProSteer ball joint kits I can do them for $640 shipped.

Two uppers and two lowers, i.e. a complete ball joint set.

Wow, we just installed these Dynatrac ProSteer ball joints today and WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I know my stock joints were trashed, but I cannot believe that the truck rode this good when brand new. I love when an expensive item turns out to be worth every cent. I have to send a letter to Dynatrac to thank them for taking the time to develop such a great product

The shop I use installs Carli's and Dynatracs every week. They prefer Dynatracs. They've never gotten a return on either brand.

I have the Dynatrac ball joints and I installed them myself two summers ago and the first winter when it got below 30 below zero the steering got very stiff. We went to the USA. and as it got warmer the steering returned to normal. This winter the same thing happened when it got cold and I greased them with Mobil synthetic grease and it did not improve I believe the body of the ball joint shrinks in the cold and tightens up the ball joint. Other than that and the fact that the lower ball joints are very hard to grease they are a quality product. I also have the DT free spin hubs and I love them.

The shop's been able to grease the lower Dyna's by using a long needle they tell me.
There's a member here with a set of DT freespins in the classifieds. I wish I could swing some. I need to get my bj's done and would love to have those installed at the same time.
