Installed the Dynatrac Prosteer Ball Joints

So far so good! I don't have to fight the truck on the to lane black tops any more and steering is tight again. Hopefully my tire wear problem will be solved also. It was starting to wear the tires really wierd almost like cupping but diffierent so I figured it was ball joint time at 120K. The drivers side was a little loose but not bad and the passenger side was really bad, so loose it looked like it was about to fall out. Weird thing is the prybar under the tire trick showed the drivers side with about 1/4 slop and the passenger side with less than that, go figure the one that check out the best was in the worse shape!

Mine went very easy, once I made the right adapters for my Harbor Freight ball joint press.

They install just like any other press in ball joint. I got my set from 8 lug truck gear and got the adapter kit with them for $10. Basically its a washer/shim and another cup for your press that is built specifically for the dynatracs. If it is your first install be prepared for about 8 hours a side it can be a bear to get the wheel bearing out and I have broke cheap presses getting the ball joints out. This was my 3rd set I have installed, first ones for myself but it took me about 8 hours to do both sides. There are some really good write ups on here with pics to go by if you need help that lay it all out pretty well.

I've had mine in since April, one of the best things I've done to the truck.
