Automatic door locks

Hello folks,
I finally got my new truck back from warranty!!! I totally love it!!! I just have one question right now, I'm sure there'll be lots more, and that is how do I disable the automatic door locking feature that locks all the doors as soon as you go a certain speed? I looked in the manual and couldn't find anything about it and to me it's a total nuisance to have to unlock the truck every time I want to get something out of the back...
Thanks!

He's not lying! Some 10 year old flipped me off and had the mouth of a trucker, just right out side of Runamuk's house! Man makes me wish my truck had that auto-lock feature!

Correct me if I'm wrong but does this require a certain sequence of turning the key on and off? I'm sure someone has done this before and will chime in. I don't want to hijack this thread but I took my truck in for service and the seatbelt chime does not go off anymore (its the only way I remember my seat belt), I think this is a similar fix. Does anyone know this aswell?

Yes, read the manual again. The key sequence is in there to disable the auto door lock.

It's a handy feature as far as I'm concerned.

I would like to disable mine as well...

I have an '02 and I would like to disable this feature as well. I live in a safe area and this is not needed. How does one disable this? It is NOT covered in my manual...

I am trying to do the same thing with my truck and i cant seem to make it work.

There is a card that came with the documentation package. It says the sequnce is:
get in, close door, fasten seatbelt.
Cycle the key from on to off 4 complete times ending in off.
hit the automatic door lock button towards the lock direction.
You should hear a chime.

Mine never works, and i never hear the chime. I cant seem to disable the auto locks even with the specified procedure.

If any knows how to make it work... please help.
