Automatic door locks
Automatic door locks
Is there any way to turn off the feature on my 99 where it automatically locks the doors when you hit 15 mph. It is a pain b/c alot of times I get out and walk around to get in the passenger door to get out my lunchbox, clothes, and whatnot and I dont ever lock my doors intentionally. I just bought the truck used a couple weeks ago and dont have an owners manual for it. I know alot of these new trucks you can turn off certain things like that with some weird sequence of key cycles and buttons, but is this one of them?
Thanks in advance

1. close all doors
2. place key in ign and cycle key off to on 4 times. Don't start engine.
3. press driver side power door lock switch to lock the doors within 30 seconds
4. you'll hear a single chime. Auto door lock is deactivated.
5. to enable, follow above steps.

Similar.
Mine's an automatic. I guess I ought to add more to my signature.
I had all the details in a hyperlink to my website, but someone declared it "advertising" and removed the hyperlink from my signature. (I have links to most of the aftermarket stuff installed on my truck)
