audio control line converters?

has anyone tried these? In particular the LC 7 with IPOD control
http://www.audiocontrol.com/t34/1761...ut----LC7.html

are they any better or worse than the PAC audio stuff?

Can't answer your question but I have the Pac harness and it works very well. It has two output connections and cost me $86 delivered.

thats the route I was going to go, but was told that basically the pac audio kit is really just the old school technology. Honestly, I dont know the difference. I just want to add amps and an IPOD to my stock infinity head unit.

So do you have a nice clear sound? what head unit are you running, is it the infinity?

Do you have a link where you got the pac harness?

I know its not the same year, but im trying to find a 10pin splitter/box that will let me use two 10pin plugs into the back of my rb1 nav...

Not sure what's meant by old technology but it works well and sounds quite good.
Hint on the install , the instructions call for removing the cup holder , assuming you don't have the center console, but all I did was pry off the radio panel face which just pops off and also the panel below the cup holders which also just pops off. I'll bet they pop off even on the center console models. You have to be careful setting the panel down since wires are attached.
Access to the radio is then easy , the toughest part was snaking the Pac wires down behind the dash to the floor level , I made a snake out of a wire hanger and taped it to the Pac wires and pulled it thru . Really not that bad.

thanks for the info. Do you have the infinity stereo? Is the sound on par with a new head unit? The guy trying to sell my the LC 7 states it will sound "better" than an aftermarket head unit. I doubt it, but again, i really dont know too much about this stuff.

the trim around the HU just pops off? Not sure whatcenter console you are referring to, but i dont think I have it. Fold down cup tray, and center seat with flip up console thingy/backseat

I have the Infinity system , can't tell you whether it's on a par with head units.
Mega , check the links above to the Pac system , if I remember correctly it works with Nav. , but you need to check since my memory isn't 100%.

i can't find anything to say weather it works or not, it would just stink to spend 100 bucks on it and then it not work. Cause i would really love to put a sub and amp with my stock system cause i don't want to get rid of my stock nav and my rear dvd, plus my free lifetime sirius subscription

The Pac system says if you have the ves, and the sat. radio you will have to disconnect one of them.
