I also have an 06, it had no cord. I have never heard of any that came with the cord. I bought and installed the dodge cord, which did come with a recommended routing, but the cord I bought was part of the full cold weather package that also included the radiator cover and battery warmers.

Some dealers in areas where it gets cold have installed the heater cords. My '06 didn't have one so I ordered it from Geno's Garage.

They all come with the cord up here in the land of ice and snow. We'd never make it through half a winter without a block heater. Gas vehicles all have them too. The cold weather package here is just the winter front and the battery blankets.

No cord on my 06'

Well the cord wasn't there. The original window sticker didn't show it as an option, so apparently it was never there. I'll order one now.

Thanks guys for all the help.

My truck is also on '06 and it didn't have the cord. I ordered mine from Geno's Garage and it was about half the price of what the dealers here locally wanted. It didn't come with a diagram for the routing so I just looked at my neighbors and it was pretty easy. I use it quite a bit in the winter and it works great. The other day I couldn't use it and it was -17* and my truck started fine, but it took forever to warm up.
