any good dealers in so. cal?

I am ready to order my first diesel ram [infact my first dodge] but all the dealers I have talked to want 500 to a 1000 dollars over invoice. I was reading another thread and people are getting them in other states for 500 under invoice. Should I just order from out of state?
thanks

How that's a good question.... Were you thinking of the new one with the higher HP and torque? I know you couldn't get the HO there last year, but for resale I think the higher HP & Torque is the answer and I think they will have them in CA .... but you will probably pay more as everything else there! ..... If you buy it out of state I believe you have to put 7500 miles on before in comes in CA without paying CA tax which is hard to do. Do yourself a favor and drive it at 60-70 and see in the Rear End makes noise and I wouldn't get the High End Security System it is a real pain if you were to loose a key, I would go for a aftermarket Alarm there better and will be less of a problem for you if you were to loose a key.

I bought from Ontario Dodge (now Power Dodge). Talk to Larry Collins...He is the fleet manager and will give you a price without B.S. I bought a late 2003 and walked out the door for way less than sticker. I have not shopped an 04 so I don't know what they are going for.

Thanks for the replies. The one I want to order is the new fifty state legal 325/600, but the dealers around my area are higher then other deals that I have heard of.

If you are thinking out of state, have you considered Dave Smith Dodge in Kellogg, Idaho? I talked to Dustin. I can't find their 800 number right now. You can do a search on line and find their Web site.

When I took the price they quoted to the local dealer he said it was lower than the price he paid for the vehicle. Whether that was BS or not I don't know.
