Air Horn recommendations

Well I was looking around at the kits and I wanted to keep it around 250-300 for an air horn kit and I did find a couple for around that. I also see that I can piece together a kit for a little more then that price that would have a better compressor then the kits for that price, most kits come with a Viair 275 but if I piece it together I can get a Viair 380 and a 3 gallon air tank for 210 shipped then I would need to get a horn(s) and the odds and ends to connect everything.

What would you recommend for a kit or a place to get a kit or the horn(s) if I put the kit together myself.

Thanks

I got a Hadley air horn kit for my dad's 1500 way back in 2002 or 2003 from a local truck equipment dealer for under $300. It came with a 1 gal air tank, the horns, compressor, fittings, etc. Nice compact kit and not expensive, parts readily available.

I think this is it.

well so far I have picked up a 3 gallon tank air tank, a viair 380c, and a used horn on ebay, it was called the beast and is a 3 horn setup, I did a quick search and found it sold for 180ish for just the horn and I picked it up for 100. I guess if it is not that great of a horn I can always upgrade.....I am sure I will anyway in the future

Well, I was going to say check with www.airhornsoftexas.com. I went with one of their 1230 horn kits.

How does that sound being so far back? Another thing I have to watch is where I place the horns because I plow in the winter

Sounds great! Just like a big rig. Plenty, plenty loud enough. Almost to loud even with the rain caps. I'm running caps to keep water and dirt out of the horns. Works very well.

I think Seige is out of business. Make sure any dealer actually has the product in stock before you order.
