Air Conditioning is sick again!!!

I love my dodge truck and cummins engine. I am sick of the air conditioning. I have had this thing in the shop at 29k and 35k for the same issue and it is doing it again. It actually got kinda warm here in Texas today and I cycled the ac on. Same problem I have had before. The air comes out on the driver's vents at 60F and the passenger vents are like 75F. It was only 78F outside temp. This is crazy. Has anyone had the same issues and figured out a fix for this? Already talked to the shop and actually they were pretty cool. Said we have records on ur issue just bring it in it will be covered since it seems to be an ongoing issue even though I am over the 36k part of warranty. So, I am pretty happy about that... Thanks in advance for any ideas to share with the dealer.

Had the exact same issues with my '03, (among other things). My solution was to pull up on the dealer lot last month, leave it there and drive home in an '06. Radical move, but sure do like this one.

Over the period of having the '03 in the shop for the a/c probs, they charged the system twice with dye, and never found any leaks. Changed out the compressor once and I think it was called the condensor once, and when I traded it in, it was blowing warm air on the passenger side again, mildly cool air on the drivers side.

Good luck

It is obviously a flow controller problem. Do you have separate passenger and driver temp controls. I had this problem and it was something like a vacuum actuator ...not a biggy. It affected cruise and the heating flow controller. Fixed once and perfect. ks

Bet mine will be HOT also.Been recharged THREE times. There LEAKING somewhere and if mine is low again I'll start a file with D.C.and they can warranty it for the next 7 years(I keep vehicles at least 10)My guess is evaporator leaking.

Problem is related to being in Texas....come up north a bit - we're at -25C this morning, with a wind chill of -40. A/c works great once you open the window a crack.

Hmmm. I've had one bad fin sensor followed by two bad evaporators. I hope it works this spring.

I don't want to trade trucks!
