Adjusting Headlight Aim

Has anyone adjusted the aim on their headlights. My headlights are about right with no load - maybe abit on the high side. But with the fifth wheel RV hitched up the headlights are way to high and I get alot of flashing from on coming cars. Is there an easy way to adjust them?

I often have same problem. Here is my method....

Find a wall......... park on level ground, 25 feet away. Put/pick a level line 5" high on the wall.
Both lights should be just below that line (at 25') and just inside straight ahead, as determined by sighting down the side of your truck!

Works well and obviously, works best at night. I have a perminent line marked on side of my garage for when I'm making a long trip.

Where is the adjustment screw on the headlight? The owners manual doesn't have any info and I can't see anything on the headlight assembly that looks like it would adjust the aim.

When looking from the front with the hood open, near the inside edge of the headlight their is a hole behind the rubber seal about midway up the side of the light with a Torx head adjuster in it. Turn one way to adjust up, turn the other way to adjust down.

Also you may want to look at a set of airbags to help with the headlight aim issue when loaded. Seemed to help me out alot when I slap the trailer on there, just air the bags up and don't have to keep adjusting the headlights...

Maybe. Was working from memory. The idea is to have the headlights just below level at 25'!
Best would be to measure from level ground to center of your lights.... and make your "line on the wall" at that height!

This would solve the problem for lifted and leveled trucks as well!

I think what you want to do is mark a line 5" below the level line from the headlights and hit that at 25' out.

I just parked my truck 25' from my garage when it was stock, made a mark then adjusted the headlights to that mark after I installed the lift. 5" below level sounds right to me.
