Adding dash tweeters?

Adding dash tweeters?
Is it difficult to add a pair of tweeters to the two outside speaker grill holes on the top sides of the dash? I have a factory radio with two front door ane two rear door speakers, not the infinity.
I'm not looking for tons of wattage, just a high quality pair to suppliment the doors. I have the treble all the way up all the time. If I have to add a small amplifier, that's fine. But, where would you get the low source out of the factory radio? I don't want an aftermarket radio, I like my MP3 factory one I have.

I added 3-1/2" infinity's..pretty easy, that top cover just snaps off and the screw holes are already there. No need to add an amp, just splice off the front speaker leads at the radio.
Sound fills in the truck nicely.
Then I went nuts...switched all the doors speaks to JL Audio, and a 400 watt amp, then another 400 watt amp to drive a 10" JL Audio sub in a hot box under the center consol. And switched to the factory REC Nav.

I didn't even think of that.
Where did you find two infinity dash speakers? Are they the same, or close enough impedance to work? Do they have capacitors on them already, or did you have to add one to each?
Oh, where did you find a pin-chart to show which wires that come out of the radio are the left and right, front and rear? Wait, I have a service manual on CD. Maybe it does.

I got the infinity's at Circuit City...about $90 for the pair.

How did you get that top piece of the dash closest to the windshield off?

If you go the route of tapping of the other speaker lines make sure the set you have comes with a set of crossovers to block out the bass. If not you are just running full range tweeters and you will not benfit from the highs you are looking for

Actually, I'm thinking of replacing the rear-door speakers too with the Kappas. The front-door speakers are OK. I don't need a theatre in the cab, just something a little better.
