AC Problem
First time post here...When I drove to my parents the other weekend, I noticed the ac seemed to stop working. The blower was on high but there was no air coming out of the vents. I finally turned the unit to heat and in less than a minute the air was coming out like normal. I then turned the ac back on and it seemed fine. It has happened twice and that fixed it both times. I have never had this happen before, anyone have any ideas?
Thanks Jason

I hope you have better luck than this guy did. Read this TDR thread . Your complaint sounds similar.
Apparently theres an issue with the air door mixture stepping motor. There's a TSB on this and it requires a scan tool to recalibrate the motor. A buddy of mine just went through this with his '03 Ram Laramie. One side just quit blowing air and the truck didn't cool like it should. After the calibrating he said the truck is a meat locker.

I've not seen a TSB on this. But after removing my AC controls I did have a similar issue. I'm not sure what fixed it. I did cycle all the ***** full stop to stop a few times, pausing the mode in a few spots. I also held down both the AC and defrost buttons for 30-sec or so. AND I key cycled on/off a handful of times.
It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!

Thanks for the thread links, NJMURVIN, I don't think I am that far along...yet. I don't have any other problems with the truck.
MEXSTAN, That was good info, I will keep an eye on it, and if I have to, I will arm myself with that info and take it to the dealer.
Thanks again,
Jason
