Well for all you know it could have all the same axle shafts as the 9.25, just a bigger ring gear, which is not generally the weak point.
It is kind of like comparing a Dana 60 to a Dana 70 front, many of the Dana 60 fronts actually had better axle shafts in them then the 70's, just smaller ring gear.
Also remeber that the Dana 60's in the 94+ truck was not the same animal as the "old" Dana 60 fronts, the older ones were stronger in my opinion.
But either way if you leave the truck as it was designed it is plenty strong and will give you no problems. If you go modifing things then what ever happens is you own fault.
