3500 SRW Helper Springs

Does anyone know approximatly how much weight will place the frame just barely on the helper springs of a 4x4 3500 SRW Quad Cab. The reason I'm asking is I loaded it up with firewood a few days ago and I was just touching the helpers. I didnt get a chance to weight the truck and I'm not sure how much weight I had back there.

I will say on the Highway doing between 55 and 70 the truck was averging 17.5 MPG on the overhead. That is actually better mileage than I was getting empty when the truck was new. I'm just at 900 miles now. Stop and go was giving me 15.5 MPG.

I had three 55 gallon drums in the back of my truck, which set it lightly on the helper springs. I figure about 1400 pounds...

Apparently the 04.5 does indeed get a few MPG's less... I typically see 20 or higher as long as I'm under 70, though all in town short trips can get me down to 15.
