HELPER SPRINGS ??

What is the purpose of the " HELPER SPRINGS "? Do they come into use when the MAIN SPRINGS are MAXED OUT ? Thanks for the replys before hand!!

Yep, that is the way they are. Once you get enough load on the main springs then the helpers come into play.<br>Tom

The factory helper springs usually start to work when you get about 1200 pounds in the bed or the trailer tounge weight is about 600 pounds. If you ride around with about 1000 pounds in the bed like I do they tend to get a little irritating on bumpy roads. You will hear them hit, but once they are loaded, they make a big difference.<br>Rich
