315's and the spare tire

I have the BFGs on my truck but only the standard spare. Will the 315 tire fit under the truck where the spare goes, or is it too big???????

Yep. Mine fits fine. Didn't even have to struggle with it....lifted right up into place.

Ditto.. My spare, however, is only about an inch and a half from my tailpipe so I may make an insulation blanket for the pipe so the tire doesn't start melting....

Same here. I have only had that spare under there for a couple of months. I have been keeping an eye on it and so far I haven't seen any signs of it getting hot. Time will tell.

About $500 to blow. Other than that, nothing. Fit stock wheels fine. They measure 33"...not quit 35's.

WHen i put the 315s on my 97, my mileage increased. I felt that the turbo seemed to load sooner. I think with the loss of gear it made boost quicker. I did not have any gauges when I installed the tires.

Well, I haven't really checked the mileage since I put the 315s on but I have seen many posts about the mileage going down with the taller tires. It would seem that it should go up because for every 100 miles on the odometer, my GPS tells me that I have actually gone 110 miles. I topped off this morning and I will be checking on this tankfull.
