2007 headlights dimming

On my 2007, I can start the truck and turn the headlights on. After 5-10 seconds, they dim, I don't hear a click but its almost like some type of relay kicks on and they instantly are less bright.
Is the norm?

how cold is it where you are?

are you sure it isn't your heating grids kicking on? does your voltmeter drop?

Go down to the 03-07 engine/drivetrain forum and read the stickied thread on this. Should be the 4th thread down from the top. That's what it sounds like to me - normal.

Grid heaters. Perfectly normal while your grid heaters cycle...
