Winch Install

I have a buddy with a new 08 Power Wagon. He doesn't want the winch. Thinking of letting me have it cheap..

I see I can't mount it the same on my 05 CTD, the intercooler is in that spot. Any ideas to mount that easily and hidden on mine?

Any good ideas without replacing my bumper?

Thanks!!

think you'll need a kit to use it with the factory bumper.

Anyone use this kit? Does it leave room for the intercooler and the condenser?

Or doe sit stick out from the bumper and not truly hidden?

Anyone know the winch model number off hand on the 08 power wagons?

it's a Mopar OEM Warn 12,000 lb. winch, not the standard Warn M12000.
you'll have to call to find out if the hidden mounting systems work on a diesel truck. your other options are an aftermarket winch bumper or a push bar equipped with a winch mount from Mile Marker or Warn.

I had a Warn Transformer on a Ford in the early nineties. The grill guard/winch carrier was a solid piece. The brush guard option was too light to be of help against bambi. I had the black finish and it sucked after a few years, but I don't think it was advertised as "powder coated" like it is now. It ends up being a lot of money but it maintains the factory bumper.

How about a front receiver?
