2007 Dodge 2500 dead

I came out of work last thursday and to my surprise my truck wouldn't start. I first noticed something was wrong when I tried to open my doors with my remote and nothing. I got into my truck by unlocking the door with the key and stuck the key into the ignition and turned the key to let the glow plugs warm up, got all the indictions that everything was good, went to start it and everything was dead except the security light. Tried the other key and nothing, called Dodge and had to have it towed to the dealership and they scratched their heads also, . The called me the next day saying it was the wireless control modulator, and it had an internal fault failure and the part was on back order, anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks. They said that this has happened almost 300 times and they are getting ready to issue a recall on that part. This sucks, to have happened on a brand new truck!

If they gave you a vehicle I'd be happy... That's all.

I was pretty lucky I guess when my truck went in for a week at the dealer. The dealer paid Enterprise for my rental for the week and it was a 1500 Ram truck. Nice to still have the truck capability.
