2006 Radio power wires

Installing aftermarket radio and in the plug harness the two power wires on the left top and bottom are constantly powered, shouldn't one of them be switched power or is that how it is ?
Also that plastic woodgrain piece that surrounds the radio, does it just pop off or is ther hidden screws ? don't want to break it .......thanks

how the woodgrain depends on what (if any) console you have or if you have flip down cupholders etc.. check out this link for instructions though

The stock harness does not have conventional stereo hookups. meaning there is no switched power, vss, illumination etc that an aftermarket deck requires. You have to buy a PAC adapter that turns the canbus signal into them. But, it it's just power you want, i think you can steal switched from left cigarette lighter.
