2006 Mileage

Here's my "computer-calculated" (or hand calculated if u prefer) mileage for the entire year 2006. I used Excel to calculate.
Totals and averages for the entire year are across the bottom high-lighted in yellow.

Nice. Looks like you pull a load every once in a while. That looks like a good honest post to me.

LOL, yep, that 3mpg was plowing some deep heavy snow. Spend alot of time going forwards and backwards when plowing ... but mpg is mpg. You can sure tell when their was some plowing or heavy pulling goin' on.

These numbers are as true and honest as I can make 'em. Pretty straight forward ... everytime I fill up I log all criteria (litres to fill, odo reading, trip meter reading, etc.) As soon as I start the truck after re-fueling I reset everything to zero including the overhead mpg ... then start over again next time I fill. It's not 100% perfect but very close and the overall averages will be dead nuts.
I'm not getting as good mpg as I thought I was though the highway runs aint too bad.

That looks exactly like the economy performance of my truck, right on down to the error in the overhead.

Good post, this should be a sticky to answer all future "what kind of MPG can I expect with my '06??!?!?" questions

yes, the totals and averages for the entire year are all across the bottom highlited in yellow (thought I stated that above
These mileage numbers I figure should represent the average guy and how they use these trucks. Some mpg figures are real low due to some tough plowing days but I do a fair bit of empty hwy runs too so overall they should represent well.
Just finished a good FULL tank run (75 miles after low fuel light illuminated)
I got:
- 132 litres (34.92 gals US) and got 1053 kms (641.3 miles) = 12.54L/100km (18.4 mpg US) my overhead said 23.4mpg ... way off as it is many times. You certainly CANNOT count on the overhead though sometimes it is kinda accurate.
I'll have my 2007 numbers ready soon as the year is over ... we'll see if my truck actually gets better mileage as time goes on ... so alot of people say. I can tell you as of right now my average for the year is EXACTLY the same as the first.
