2006 Front Turn Signal

I have noticed that all the years before and after the 2006 has the side indicators lit by the main front indicator lights. I also noticed that the 2006 has the reflective strip, whereas the other years don't.

I did notice that the other day that another 2006 had a blinking reflective strip. Mine does not.

Am I normal? I mean, is my truck normal, or should I be replacing a burnt out bulb?

Thanks,
Joe

I don't know, but I'll try to remember to look at mine when I get home this evening and let you know.

Just looked at mine. The lower reflective strip has a bulb in the middle facing forward. It does not blink. In fact, I have no side blinker at all.

I will have to see if I have a bulb there, I must have missed it.

At least I am not all that crazy.

Thanks,
Joe

So I checked again, and found that there is a light there, but it was burnt out. I found a single filament light bulb and replaced it. I found that it DOES NOT BLINK, but it is a marker light.

I know for sure that I saw a truck that blinked. I was in my car and it was my eye height, and coming my way. To say the least, it caught my attention. Then I stared at it while it was going down the hwy, for a moment.

If you rewire the #194 side marker lamp to shunt across both positives at the turn signal lamp it will flash with the turn signal by day, and alternately with the signal with the parklamps on. GM has done 'em that way for decades.
