2006 2500 CTD A/C Compressor problems

I have been experiencing intermittent a/c problems and now it just wont blow cold at all. i looked under me truck and the compressor isnt kicking on at all, however sometimes if i hook up my predator tuner and clear the codes it will kick start the compressor for a short time but then it will turn back off. has anyone else had similar problems? also is there a relay or something that would need to be changed? i have no idea about HVAC systems. thanks in advance

thats wierd, the blower motor went out on my lil bro's 06 so we installed a complete new blower motor and fixed the problem but the switch will only work on the highest setting.

Ok so my local repair shop is telling me that the TIPM needs to be replaced because there is current going into it for the compressor but no current coming out of it, he quoted me 650 for the part and 50 bucks for labor, i can put it in myself but $650 it seems like if it is a circuit board like they say i can take it to a computer nerd and they can fix it... or is it even possible that i can be some other problem and the mechanic is trying to blow on by me. thanks

That's because you need to replace the resistor pack that is beside the blower motor in the ducting. That'll fix him up on all settings.
