2005 Owners - How are things holding up?

Hello I bought an '05 5.9TDC 4X4 last July. I have only about 9K on it most of it was put in the summer when I was towing with it. So far things are holding up good. No real issues, though I have to get a tendency for "lazy shifting" checked out on the tranny.

What is your experience?

Just trying to guage what I have to look forward to.

10k on mine. The drip moulding is starting to tear. And I had to get the tranny shifter adjusted because the dash indicator light didn't always match the gear that the tranny was in. It still screws up occasionally (light will say "D", even though I'm in "N").

But everything else has been great!

Bought my 2500 CTD 610 in May 2005; currently have 26k miles on it; tow 3/4's of those miles and love it. No complaints at all.

I have an 05 drw 4x2 with a 48RE. I purchased it in June of 05 and it now has 47,900 miles on it. It is currently in the shop for transmission issues. First it did not want to come out of park and now they tell me that the reverse clutch is fried. I should get it back tomorrow but been down for 2 weeks and that costs me $$$$. Other than the tranny love the truck.

Took delivery of mine in June and after taking it easy for a few hundred, we loaded it up with the camper and put on some 6000 miles over the summer on various trips cross country and in the mountains. Now at 14500 mi - no issues at all other than I wish I could get better miliage (running around 18 empty). I have the 'winter owl' when cold, but once it warms up, everything's OK.

Picked mine up August, it has 9200 miles on it and no problems to speak of. Waiting on a new fog light, it was taken out by a rock last trip home from Vegas.

I'm very pleased with mine so far! The overall fit and finish, ride quality and especially fuel economy are better than I expected. Of course nothing is perfect, but I'm not complaining...

-brake master cylinder leaking slighty from input shaft seal (replaced under warranty without complaint)
-door seals slighty torn (will be replaced with the new design prior to 3/36, or sooner if it gets much worse)
-driver's mirror makes screeching noise when adjusting (guaranteed to fail just prior to 3/36! )

Bought mine in Apr of 05. Have 25,000 miles on it of mostly daily driving.

Only has been back to dealer for High Idle feature turned on and to adjust pinion rate due to going to 315's. Other then that, running super I think. I plan on bringing it back to dealer to replace any TSB's before the 36,000 mile mark (ripped drivers door seal, Lower door seals, and any others that I can find).

Getting about 18 - 20 mpg now due to winter blend but was getting 20 - 24 mpg on a daily basis. Love the ride but shocks will probably get replaced come Spring time.

Got mine in july, has 15000 miles now. No problems at all. Wish I got the mileage others are getting though. I get 15-17 mpg empty.
