Re:2004 Production Delay Information

That's an interesting page; what grabbed my attention is the following line:

"DX Ram 4000 has a Job #1 of 4/19/04"

Anybody know if this is a model above the 3500??

Or what?? ???

Re:2004 Production Delay Information

Maybe the DX Ram 4000 is the third generation chassis cab that has been misssing from the lineup.

That is what the "other" site had said. It is a chasis cab.

Re:2004 Production Delay Information

Yes any info we get on these trucks will be very helpful as I'm in need of a cab and chassis. These are the on again off again most talked about but never built heavier commercial trucks that we hope will finally allow Dodge to show the others what real trucks are built like!

Re:2004 Production Delay Information

The 4000 is quite common around here. Never parked next to one to compare size but the cab size looks a tad bigger than my 2500. Of course they are way longer with the chassis extension. Most of the ones here have a flat bed on them.

Re:2004 Production Delay Information

I think most folks are interested in this little line item:

(ETH+XCK) 2004.5 MY diesel engine production delayed until 1/5/04

I think that this may refer to the EGR engine. Ordered 2004 3500 SRW on 10/20 and it is in D1 now with a ship date of 11/11 and due at dealer approx. 9 days later.
