Re:2004 Chassis Cabs

A dealer told me yesterday that all they are getting for a while is the bed-delete 3500's. He said they should have a Cab and Chassis out, but he didn't know when. The best he could say was "maybe next year(early 2004)". That's the same that Luke said, so maybe they'll have them out before the '05 model.

UMMmmm - a "cab delete"?

I guess that means you get a frame and bed, but hafta sit out in the open on an orange crate to actually DRIVE the truck...
[/quote]

ANYBODY who wants to order the "cab delete" I will pay 800.00 for the cab. White would be preferred..

Re:2004 Chassis Cabs

Erics76, your dealer was right except for one big thing. The only models we can delete the bed from the factory are the single rear wheel trucks, not dually. That makes a whole bunch of since, since the entire time we've been in business we've never sold single rear wheel cab&chassis, only dualy's. :

Re:2004 Chassis Cabs

Yeahbut why would someone go for a box delete to save 400 bucks? I'm sure you could easily sell it for much more.

Re:2004 Chassis Cabs

Well, you'd be surprised. I have had mine advertised for 2 months almost and not a single call. I am only asking $750 for it, does that seem like a rip off to you guys? I am gonna have some more of em too, because I have a customer that wants 3 trucks all with beds taken off and flatbeds like mine installed. What the heck am i gonna do with 4 new bodystyle dually beds???? : ???

Re:2004 Chassis Cabs

You've got to be kidding about the SRW bed deletes. When my dealer said 3500, i just assumed he meant DRW. That's the dumbest thing I've heard of in a while. I've got no use for a SRW flatbed. Furds are looking better and better I hate to say.

Re:2004 Chassis Cabs

Your dealer might not realize it, but when you choose the bed delete option it automatically adds the single rear wheel group, sad but true. Forget the Ford, do what I did with mine, take off the bed and put a flatbed on a regular truck. Or if you don't want the hassle, I'll do it for you. I gotta really good friend in the flatbed business who does mine for me and I can set up a truck for you and add the price of the bed into the loan on the truck. Here is what mine looks like with the new flatbed installed..............

Re:2004 Chassis Cabs

Luke your truck looks good. I may end up going that way. Your a good ways away from me, and my boss has been dealing with Benny Boyd down here for a long time, and i'm sure he'll want me to go there. Thanks for the info though, you've been a great help. I'm not supposed to be getting one till at least december, so maybe they'll be more info on the real C&C's by then. Hopefully :-

Then it goes on to say they MAY resume production in the 05 model year. > If I didn't hate furds so much, and they weren't having so much trouble, I'd be getting one. Dodge is missing a great opportunity to grab some for furd's cab and chassis business while the 6.0 is being "consumer tested". I don't see what the problem is that they can't have a C&C this year. Luke, you have any info? This whole thing is irritating me! > >

Re:2004 Chassis Cabs

The only info I have is that my zone sales manager told me we may see it this year but don't keep our fingers crossed.
