2003 CTD rear seating
2003 CTD quad cab. Looking to improve rear seats. Any advice. Any aftermarket rear seating out there? Would like to have headrests and little more freindly seating for young kids.

You CAN get stock seats WITH headrests. My kids complain a bit on long trips so I have been considering trying to move the whole seat base forward a couple inches so there's a little lean on the seat back.I haven't done it yet due to what Madhat just said. Losing legroom.
I installed a DVD player back there and that helps keep the complaining down too.....

I think you could move the seats forward, but you'd need to chop the front of the seat by the equal ammount to keep the leg room the same. for little kids it would not matter.
Hey, it's better than our old 1st Gen cab and a half with the side seats that folded down...

I did spend a lot of time looking for aftemarket head rest options but had no luck. Maybe a good auto uphostery shop could help.

The "lean" is the problem, but the rear headrest is (I think) an option for the trucks, unless you have the Laramie (then included). Maybe you can find a OEM rear seat with headrests at a recycle yard.
An option would be to buy a pillow or one of those sofa seat back cushions that have a lean to them. When you strap your kids in, you'll essentially strap in the cushion as well.
Or buy a wedge-cut foam piece (from a foam shop) that will meet the lean angle you want. But cover the foam, otherwise the kids will say their back is too warm.

Tell them the seats in coach on an airplane is worse - stop whining!
My '06 rear seat has headrests. Don't know if there's a difference in year models though.
