Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2006-2007 Dodge Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, Dakota, and Mitsubishi Raider vehicles manufactured July 1, 2005, to July 31, 2006 with manual transmissions. The return springs in the clutch ignition interlock switch may break.

Subject : Driver Side Frontal Air Bag Inflator may Rupture

SUMMARY:
Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2004-2007 Dodge Ram 1500 and Durango, 2005-2007 Dodge Ram 2500, Charger, Magnum, Dakota, Chrysler 300, 300C, SRT8, 2006-2007 Dodge Ram 3500 and Mitsubishi Raider, and 2007 Chrysler Aspen. Upon deployment of the driver side frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture.

Sad that a child died because of this problem. Never leave your keys in your vehicle unattended. Never leave vehicle in gear to act as parking brake, never leave vehicle without applying the parking brake. If these simple steps were followed this child would still be alive.

It's a bit strange that the 3500's aren't recalled for airbag.
