Believe it. It has been confirmed by several Dodge sales people in the know. '07 is when we will see radical changes in the motor to meet even tougher emmision regulations. I would bet we will then see EGR like GM & Ford and who knows what else. Will we still have the Cummins?

Glad I have an '05 for that reason alone, not to mention, I don't have the Dakota-ish front end like the '06 will have.

Doesn't Cummins have a seperate warranty with the engine??

Yes and my understanding is that will remain in place, currently 7/100K, currently the Dodge warranty is 7/70 that will change to 3/36.

DainmlerChrysler buys the ISB-e 5.9L Cummins motors without any warrenties, expressed, or implied.

Any, and all warrenty work involving the Cummins motors in the Dodge Pickup is all paid for by DaimlerChrysler.

With that in mind I must re-visit my dealer and make him wear 3 shoes

.... I was mis-imformed by him.... but I probably wont have any problems, at least if I stay away from a certain oil filter
